Walk at Locust Grove

Leader: Georgette Weir

A beautiful, springlike morning (well, early spring) brought 15 hikers to Locust Grove in Poughkeepsie for a short stretch of the legs in the midst of the winter holidays.

Thankfully, rain and above-freezing temperatures had eliminated slick trail ice that leader Georgette Weir encountered less than 48 hours earlier. There was just one spot where folks put on microspikes. We started and finished our walk before the sun turned the trails to mud.

A nice break between gray and rainy days.
