Leader: Georgette Weir

Our group of 8 hikers added a moving splash of color to the gray and white woods as we covered the Catfish Loop in Fahnestock State Park on a spectacularly beautiful, spring-like day. We wore microspikes throughout, but melting ice on small streams made for some challenging crossings. At the last one, two people got wet feet. This was a reminder of the importance of being prepared by wearing good wool socks that will keep you warm when wet (at least for a while) and to have dry socks and other clothes in your pack or car for when needed.
Leader Georgette Weir was joined by Richard C, Martha R, Kathy S, Jean M, Linda W, Ann C, and guest Nancy L.
