On November 26th, two days after Thanksgiving we scored a beautiful sunny calm winter day for a hike through Scenic Hudson’s Black Creek Preserve. There were seven ADK members (Annette Caruso led Carol G, John R, Shirley F, Sandi Z, Gwen C, and Karen F) plus John’s nephew Dan from Texas and Annette’s cousin Lisa from Manhattan. There are 2 miles of trails in the preserve, but with the sun in my eyes I missed the red trail on the way back so we wound up doing closer to 3, all dry crisp leaves on the ground, blue sky and leisurely pace made for a thoroughly enjoyable walk in the woods.
