Mon, Aug 10 – Paddle the Hudson River to the Saugerties Lighthouse

Our flotilla of eight paddlers left Glasco Mini Park to head upriver to the Saugerties Lighthouse.  The high tide meant no landing spot so we left the boats afloat and tied to the boardwalk while we had lunch on the lighthouse deck.  After lunch we paddled up the Esopus Creek in search of the Saugerties seal – no luck spotting the harbor seal that had been seen in the Esopus Creek off and on for the past 6 1/2 years.  Paddlers were Linda H., Cindy T, Georgette W., Jean-Claude F., Eric H, Rich C., Martha R and the leader.
