Sat, Sept 5 – Tree Swallow Murmuration Paddle
This was a joint outing with the Kayaking the Liquid Skies Meetup group.
We paddled to Goose Is in Old Lyme, CT to see the swallow murmuration at sunset. The changing colors of the sunset with the swirling, dancing swallows all around was an amazing site to see. We were a combined group of 19 paddlers from 4 states, NY, NY, CT & RI. We had 2 leaders & 2 Co-Leaders. MHADK paddlers were: Linda H, Gwen L & Debbie A. Everyone had a white light on their stern & a headlamp. Returning back in the dark we received a thank you from the police boat on our marine radios for being the most visable kayak group paddling together in a pod. It was an awesome night!
