Tom Lake, New York State Department of Environmental Conservation estuary naturalist, and teacher of history will speak briefly to attendees of the Mid-Hudson Chapter’s picnic on Oct 2 in Bowdoin Park.
Tom is well known as editor of the Hudson River Almanac, a weekly, natural history newsletter available to all at https://www.dec.ny.gov/lands/25608.html.
Tom will speak about two “features” of Bowdoin Park for those of the outdoor mind: A Bald Eagle nest, and a prehistoric rockshelter that dates to 5,000 years ago. Each has a story.
