Sun, Nov 23 – High Point Circular

As one participant said, this was a magical hike. We started out under a very grey sky.  On the way to Verlander Kill Falls we had very light flurries.  We enjoyed the falls, took some photos there and then hiked up to the start of the High Point Trail.  After a short while on that trail, it hailed on us.  As we began our gradual ascent to High Point, the wind picked up.  So we found a sheltered place for lunch and then continued to High Point, at which time we had a wind and snow and very limited visibility.  Our last 3 miles on the carriage road, it snowed continuously.  Those on this magical hike were:  Steve T, Jane B, Pete C, Terry H, Amy M, Geri R, Diane S and leader Roberta F.
