Thu, Jan 1 MWH – First Day Hike: High Peterskill/Awosting Falls Loop

Gorgeous day, great group of 5 hardy hikers, sunny, blue sky, below 20°, some wind, a little fresh snow, icy in spots, spikes worn. Hiked along the Peterskill, then up & over High Peterskill with great views and then to Awosting Falls in all its icy beauty. Back on Awosting Carriage Road, a mess of refrozen footprints.
