A gorgeous spring-like day, blue sky, sunny, warm enough to shed layers. Some soft, mushy snow with ice underneath, some hard ice on the carriage roads that had been groomed for skiing last week. Spikes all day, Lunch in comfy chairs on the porch of the Picnic Lodge. Snow fleas (springtails) on the ice. Another great day in the woods.
