Wed Jun 24 – Catskill Creek Exploration Paddle

We had a lovely day on the water.  After leaving Dutchman’s landing we quickly entered Dubois Creek and explored its many twists and turns until we were finally stopped by fallen trees and forced to turn around.  Returning to Catskill Creek we headed upstream for 2 miles until we hit a set of small rapids where a gravel island allowed us a quick stop to stretch our legs. With the tide starting to ebb we had to leave our gravel island and head back down stream to deep water.  Photos by Linda H.  Paddlers were Linda H, Paul S. and the leader Dave.
