Trail Work at Locust Grove

Holiday Party Trail Maintenance Outing at Locust Grove

Despite a damp early morning and the likelihood of rain by late morning, 8 MHADKers arrived at Locust Grove ready for trail work. We expected to be tackling barberry, but instead were put to work clearing garlic mustard where it was encroaching on the core of the property and adjacent to several trails. In bloom, the white flowers were easy to see, the plants came out easily, and our group made good work over 2.5 hours.

Joining Georgette Weir were Jean M, Jean-Claude F, Judy B, Sue M, Connie H, Ellen Z, and Bill Beehler, a former MH Trails Chair who provided moral support.
