Alder Lake in the Catskills – Base Camp Backpack

This backpack was to have been led by David Mong, Carmen Shippy and Russell Ley. David had a medical issue come up on the drive to the trailhead and once there turned the trip over to Russ Faller and Russell Ley and departed. The trip was to have started on Thursday evening but the weather was so bad we delayed the start till Friday morning. The group hiked into Alder Lake and after setting up camp did a bushwhack hike to Cradle Rock Ridge. The next day, the group did a trail hike to Mill Brook Ridge followed by an out and back bushwhack along Woodpecker Ridge. The weather was great and the group was fun. Group members included members Manny G and leaders Russ F & Russell L. AMC members or guests were Gwen H, Clay W & Jeannine P.
