Sat, May 2 – Locust Grove Ramble

This was a joint outing with Locust Grove.
We have a partnership with Locust Grove where we get to use their facilities for annual Holiday Party, and in return, we lead hikes for them. This was the first hike led by ADK for Locust Grove. In spite of the morning showers, seven participants showed up, three were non ADK members in their 20s. We hiked every trail, down to the river, overlooking the lagoon, and the Hudson River, along the ravine, pond and the waterfall. The leaves were just emerging, so we had wonderful views of the river. The day turned out to be beautiful. I and everyone had a wonderful time.
